MCLEAN, Va., Nov. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP secured a jury trial victory on behalf of AiNET, LLC, a Maryland-based information technology services company, in a breach of contract action litigated in Prince George's County, Maryland. After just four hours of deliberation, the jury returned a verdict in favor of AiNET against financing company Tech. Finance Co., LLC.

The case centered on an individual who used a stolen identity to impersonate the chief technology officer of a Fortune 1000 company and purchase 195 highly specialized laptop computers. The Greenberg Traurig trial team defended AiNET by demonstrating that liability lay with Tech Finance Co, which failed to comply with the customer identity verification requirements under the Bank Secrecy Act and the USA PATRIOT Act.

Litigation Shareholder Timothy C. Bass led the Northern Virginia team, with assistance from Of Counsel S. Mohsin Reza and Associate Caitlin Grimmer.
