MILL VALLEY, Calif., Sept. 28, 2026: Badeloft, the maker of stone resin bathtubs, sinks and fixtures designed in Berlin, today launched Basin Studio, an online configurator for custom stone resin sinks. Shoppers build a sink to their exact measurements at badeloft.com, see the price as they go, and order it directly. Each sink is cast to order and ships in 9 to 12 weeks.

A bathroom rarely matches a catalog size. A vanity is a few inches too wide, a wall niche is shallow, or a double sink needs its bowls placed just so. Basin Studio lets buyers start from the space they have instead of the sizes a store happens to carry.

How Basin Studio works

The tool walks through six steps, with a 3D model that updates after every choice:

1. Installation: wall mounted, floating on a concealed bracket with no vanity needed, or countertop, resting on an existing vanity or counter.
2. Surface finish: glossy or matte, in white, black or gray.
3. Bowl: a ramp, trough or oval basin, in sizes S through XXL, with one, two or three bowls.
4. Drain edge: left, rear or right for ramp bowls, and center for trough bowls.
5. Size: width, depth and height in inches, plus the space left, right, front and rear of each bowl.
6. Drain cap: chrome, black, brushed nickel, glossy white or matte white. Ramp bowls use a concealed slot drain built into the slope, so they need no cap.

The price updates live with every change. A "View in your space" button places the sink in the buyer's own room through augmented reality on a phone or tablet. The finished sink goes into the cart with every measurement attached, and freight shipping is calculated at checkout.

Basin Studio is live now at badeloft.com/pages/basin-studio. Custom sinks start at $784 and ship in 9 to 12 weeks within the United States. After ordering, each buyer approves a production drawing of their sink before it is cast.
