Coming later this year, Apple Health app users will be able to conveniently and securely purchase and receive results of Quest's biomarker lab testing directly in the app

SECAUCUS, N.J., Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Quest Diagnostics (NYSE: DGX) today announced that Apple Health app users in the United States¹ will be able to conveniently purchase a tailored Quest laboratory test panel that includes over 50 biomarkers directly through the app on iPhone and iPad later this year. Apple first announced the upcoming update today at its September event.

"By embedding the Quest lab testing experience within the Apple Health app, we are making testing simpler, smarter and more available to people who want to connect biomarker and biometric insights to own their health," said Richard Adams, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Consumer, Quest Diagnostics. "This integration will help bridge the gap between clinical and consumer health and serve the growing interest in preventive health and wellness." 

The Quest laboratory panel is designed to deliver preventive health insights and includes biomarkers for assessing cardiometabolic health and organ function. The panel also includes biometric readings that measure blood pressure, height, weight, and waist and hip circumferences, which may provide additional insights into metabolic health. 

Users can purchase and schedule their blood draw and biometric readings at one of Quest's approximately 2,000 patient service centers in the United States for $119.

Shortly after testing, lab results will appear within the Apple Health app. Quest collaborates with third-party providers to review and approve all test orders and, at the user's request, discuss test results and next steps for no additional charge. 

Chronic health conditions, such as heart disease and diabetes, affect as many as three in four American adults, yet can often be prevented if acted upon in early stages, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Biomarker laboratory testing can identify early, asymptomatic signals of several chronic conditions, empowering individuals to make behavioral changes to reduce disease risk.
