Indianapolis leadership coach turns a life-altering health crisis into a mission to help high-achieving women move beyond burnout and build sustainable self-leadership.
At 34, Jiff Chapman was doing what many ambitious professionals are taught to do: achieve more, push harder, and keep moving toward the next milestone.
At the height of her corporate sales career, she achieved the prestigious President's Club milestone and felt like she was only getting started. Nine months later she suffered a stroke.
The experience didn't simply interrupt Chapman's career. It forced her to confront a much more difficult question: Who was she when achievement was no longer enough to define her?
That question ultimately changed the direction of her life and like before, she put her head down and moved forward.
After 18 years in corporate sales, Chapman left the corporate world in 2021 and founded Just Commit Coaching, the leadership development division of Just Jiff LLC. Today, she helps high-achieving women executives, directors, and senior leaders reconnect with themselves, recognize patterns of depletion, and develop a more resilient approach to leadership.

"I spent years grinding toward the next title, the next win, the next version of 'enough,' until a stroke forced me to stop and ask who I even was underneath all of it," Chapman said. "That question changed everything. Now I help other high-achieving women ask it before life forces them to."
When Achievement Comes at a Cost
Chapman's work addresses a challenge that can be difficult to recognize from the outside: leaders who appear highly successful while becoming increasingly disconnected from themselves.
They continue performing, leading teams, hitting goals, solving problems, and carrying responsibility. But beneath the accomplishments can be exhaustion, self-neglect, and an identity increasingly tied to performance.
Chapman believes resilient leadership begins by recognizing those patterns before they become unsustainable.
Her flagship four-month 1:1 coaching program, Just Choose You, is designed to help high-achieving women examine how they are leading themselves while continuing to navigate demanding careers and responsibilities.
Her methodology follows a four-phase framework:
Awareness - Understanding - Acceptance - Embodied Self-Leadership
The process moves beyond simply identifying burnout or setting new goals. Clients examine the beliefs, behaviors, expectations, and patterns influencing how they work and lead, then develop practical ways to create change.
Chapman has also developed proprietary self-leadership tools including the Depletion Index(TM), Daily ALIGN Ritual, and Grounded Gratitude Reset(TM), designed to make concepts such as depletion, burnout, self-awareness, and self-neglect easier to recognize and address.
Turning Lived Experience Into Leadership Lessons
Chapman's approach is rooted not only in leadership theory but in her own experience rebuilding after a major life disruption.
The stroke forced her to reconsider an identity that had been closely connected to professional achievement. The grief, uncertainty, and rebuilding that followed became foundational to the way she now approaches coaching and leadership development.
Rather than asking women to abandon ambition, Chapman challenges them to reconsider what sustainable ambition looks like "Prioritizing You Without Guilt," which reframes self-prioritization as an important component of effective leadership rather than something leaders should feel guilty about.
Additional speaking programs include "Resilient Leadership: Building Teams That Bend, Not Break" and "The Invisible Backpack," along with corporate workshops and lunch-and-learns focused on resilience, self-leadership, and team development.

Chapman has brought her work to organizations and audiences connected with companies including Gregory & Appel, WebMD, Sikich, and Steel Dynamics.
Following Chapman's appearance at a Gregory & Appel all-company meeting, she was praised for providing employees with practical tools and perspectives they could apply both personally and professionally.
"If you're looking for a coach and facilitator who can bring meaningful content from her life experiences, practical tools, and thoughtful conversation around resilience and team development, I highly recommend connecting with her," a testimonial from Gregory & Appel stated.
Helping Leaders Bend Without Breaking
Through Just Commit Coaching, Chapman works directly with women leaders as well as organizations seeking to strengthen leadership resilience and create healthier, more sustainable teams.
Her message is particularly aimed at successful women who may not identify themselves as burned out because they are still functioning and often functioning at a very high level.
For Chapman, that is precisely why the conversation matters.
The goal isn't to make ambitious women less ambitious. It is to help them build a form of leadership that doesn't require continually sacrificing themselves in order to succeed.
Chapman is also working on her debut book, currently planned for release in 2027, which will explore themes of grief, identity, transformation, and the process of rebuilding a life after the version once imagined changes.
